Beautiful!!!!! The wheels look great - are they grey?

Mine was only in the snow/frost by chance as that was the day it was getting collected - the transport guy happened to have his friend on board that is a photographer for a day out with him - he took some great shots of her!

The black hood / wheels / spoiler accents really work on these silver cabs. Often the cab can look 'chopped" but this combo really sets it off. I think you'll lose something visually, reverting to silver twists tbh.

i just always loved the look of the wheels on a 993 and think they fill the arches properly - I arent a massive fan of black wheels usually but do have matt black ones on my taycan - thats a monochrome car in ice grey with black accents

My wheels had to be repainted after the company that did a wheel alignment, I had just refurbished my steering rack, marked every wheel. They weren't the colour I wanted as they were more grey than original silver. However, a year later I dropped one of the wheels on the outside face and marked it. I then had them powder coated by a specialist wheel company here and they are now original silver.

ATB :)

Welcome!
If you are going to drive in the dark i would go for the Bergvyl headling bulb upgrades.
I would double check the original immobiliser has been replaced or disabled.
I agree, get the roof checked out by someone who knows them.
Speakers replaced (with new amp) if original. (just do the fronts and leave the rears disconnected, they are so small they are useless).
Drive it!
Cheers
J

Welcome!
Cabs are the best - even designer Tony Hatter thinks so (and as a result owns one himself) :)

I did all these refreshment jobs about 13-14 years ago now, how time flies!

As mentioned by everyone else, suspension refresh really helps, along with a full geo with corner balancing. I also found the M030 turbo (slightly thicker) ARBs improved the car too. I went with factory M033 shocks and springs (although the new Porsche Classic items are said to be improved) and there are after market options out there too. Try to do all the suspension work in one go and you'll have a transformed car, change any worn bushings too.

At this age the usual bodywork should be attended to too - windscreen surrounds, road rash on inner arches, chassis rails - this opens up another can of worms - tinwear!

Anyhow - it's all good fun. Get yourself a decent exhaust and you'll appreciate being in a cab even more.

I just read your suspension is already done - by Jaz who look after mine.

I have a little paint job to sort so will be asking them about an arch refresh when its there - also been thinking of trying to drop on a second hand fister stage 2 if there is such a thing available in the UK
