I came across this company in Geramny.

As we all know the OEM replacement gearshift knobs and gaiters from Porsche are unbelievably expensive. Whilst my original is in good condition I'm always conerned about its deterioration from general use. So I've ordered up one of these to use on a day to day basis circa £125 delivered including import taxes. I'll report back as soon as It's delivered. I've also come across a YT video of a guy installing one and it appears to be good quality, I'll try and find it and post it later.

Not available in blue and it looks like an Audi knob. Going to pass on this one.

That looks a good find. The one with the larger silver top will look good, interesting to see how it turns out.

The gear knob and gaiter arrived from Germany today, about a week from ordering. £125 inc taxes and shipping. Initial thoughts are that its good quality with real leather on the knob and gaiter, see attached. To be clear this isn't intended or sold as a like for like copy of the original. I'm going to use it as a day to day alternative to the original I have in the car currently, these being crazyily expensive and can suffer from wear in normal use and difficult to refurb to factory original finish.

For refernce, this is the genuine item.

I'll post up some more photos of it fitted but this won't be for a few weeks.

Can’t fault the pricing

Update.

I managed to fit the new gear stick. knob and gaiter sourced from ICT Germany last weekend, see attached photos. This fits perfectly has a great feel and weight and for the mon ey I can't fault it. All this along with an @Alex SSK kit that he worked his magic on (I supplied the Ebay SSK) result a nice positive snikerty gear change that will get even better with a bit of use.

That looks a great now fitted and value alternative to replace a tired looking OEM item.

It's not often that aftermarket parts look a better job than OEM, but in this case, it looks such a well integrated replacement. (y)

Can I ask, did the silver gaitor surround come with it or are you re-using your OEM one? The images on their site show it being completely leather... so how does that surround attach please?

A thousand pounds plus for a gearknob and a bit of leather!

For that money you could commission one custom-made of spacecraft titanium and python skin.

I'm off to look into this option.

I hated the OEM gear knob so I installed this one, the wooden knob and Ali stem is from Built by Basil, the gator is from a company that specialises in these and the Porsche badge is from the Porsche Key and is from eBay, it’s made of metal, I had to bend it to fit around the stem but I think the whole shabang looks pretty good

It does, that was the only reason I bought one to go with my IXI knob and extension.

Hi, yes it comes complete with the silver/alu surround, just like oem it clicks into place on the centre console just like the original.
