I've owned this car since August 2021 when I purchased it from ePorsch (Porsche specialists near Woking Surrey), I have cherished it to the highest level with no expense spared, spending nearly £3,000 bringing it up to the highest standard and maintaining it. It was purchased as a 4th vehicle, so has only ever been used in good weather (evident by the 1,500 miles I have done during my ownership). I am now looking to move into the world of electric cars and need the money from this to help fund the change (I may well regret this!).
This was a very good example 996.2 when I selected it from ePorsch and the best of the many I inspected. Since then, I have lavished it with further preventative maintenance items (outlined below). I cannot fault this car, it has been a pleasure to own and has proved itself incredibly reliable and surprisingly practical (I am 6ft 2in and fit perfectly, it has also proved itself as a family car [of sorts!]).
As you're likely familiar, age and mileage on these cars are much less important than the care the car has had over its life, with this one being in very good cosmetic and mechanical condition.
Options:
⃠UK LUX spec: tinted windows, metallic paint, and a few other goodies.
⃠Automatic anti-dazzle interior mirror and rain sensor
⃠Automatic anti-dazzle door mirrors
⃠Headlamp washers
⃠PSM Porsche Stability Management
⃠Porsche Sport Design Wheels
⃠Porsche Sports Exhaust
⃠Pioneer AVH-Z3200DAB Apple car-play head unit (retrofitted)
⃠Rear parking camera (retrofitted)
⃠Cruise control (retrofitted)
Exterior condition
There are no dents or scratches on the car with barely even any stone chips on the front (none that I can note) and most importantly no rot or rust. The car is regularly cleaned inside and out (including where leaves can gather in front of the condensers) and it's often under a cover with a trickle charger attached. The only negative points I can think of are the exhaust bolts being corroded and the headlights and Porsche logos on the wheels are slightly faded (which all seem to be common to Porsche problems).
Interior condition
The interior is in an excellent condition that belies the 20 year age, the leather is supple and there are only slight scuff marks on the gear knob. The head unit has been upgraded to an Apple car-play unit (Kenwood DMX-5020BT with reversing camera) which brings the in-car entertainment up to date, though the sound of the sports exhaust is a better soundtrack in my opinion. Alongside this I have also fitted a storage cubby in the dash ass well as another storage tray where ashtray was positioned (behind the handbrake) to provide more usable stowage space. I removed the original car phone and mount as it felt a little too 80's for me, in it's place I put a mobile phone mount. The original parts are all available should you wish to put it back. Cruise control has also been retrofitted using original Porsche parts.
Mechanical
The car is in very good mechanical condition, and I have stayed on top of all maintenance needs (preventative and anything highlighted in service or MOT). You will also see the excellent Miller's oil analysis report attached to the advert in the link here (for some reason it let me add the photo to this post): http://911uk.com/ads_item.php?id=11185
