991.2 Inner CV Boot replacement - Sheffield

Hi,
My 1st post, so hello everyone.

I've got a 991.2 C4S and Porsche Sheffield have identified the boots on both inner cv joints as split.
They've quoted over £500 for replacement, which I assume is for changing the joints, not just replacing the boots...

Given that they've only just split and there's no excessive play, I think the joints themself are fine and it's just the boots that need replacing, I'm going to ask if they'll do that.
But in the meantime, can anyone recommend any none dealership garage in the Sheffield area that could do the work cheaper than Porsche? It's not a warranty item or service, so I've no reason to pay dealer prices for it.

I've tried German Automarques, but they said they can't do it as they don't have the equipment... Statller haven't replied, I need to try phoning them again and I don't know any others to try.
Thanks

The quote will be for the driveshaft gaiters and NOT the actual CV joints .

OPC are in the region of £220 per hr so that's 1.5 hrs plus gaiters and clips .

Things like this .. pretty much any garage can do .. i personally would have no issues with Halfords doing this if you wish .Your choice though .

I did wonder what was so specialist about it that German Automarques couldn't do it...

If it's just a "normal" job then Halfords or Nationwide are my closest garages, and they've mostly done a decent job for me over the years on other cars, including M series beemers and v8 F-type...

Popped into nationwide auto, who after phoning their supplier have said that they can't get the boot. They could try a universal boot but don't recommend it (and I wouldn't have said yes anyway).

991 inner CV Boot Replacement.

Just a word of caution
I had a split off-side boot on my 991.
OPC replaced it at my cost.
A few months later took it for MOT, and the tester failed it because the new boot wasn't correctly installed and dirt could get into the CV joint.
Complained to OPC Sheffield and they claimed I'd had someone else work on the car, which I hadn't and they refused to accept responsibility for incorrectly install the boot, so finished up having to pay another OPC to finally correct Sheffield OPC error.

So I got a breakdown of the cost from Porsche Sheffield
Does this seem at all reasonable for replacing both inner cv boots, or is that labour charge ridiculous?

Not sure if anyone is interested anymore, but I've located Rennspeed in Retford who've quoted me <£300 for the work.
Booked in for March 1st.
