Yet Another 993 RS Evocation Project ;-)

Nice project :D
Someone's chucked some serious greenbacks at that already ...
If you've not already got a copy OP, I'd suggest getting one of these :

nice project

Fascinating project Andy, about time we had a new & exciting 993 build thread to spark interest, especially as we head into mothball months. It was getting a bit quiet around here recently.

Looking forward to seeing your adventures with this one

Thanks for the heads up. I remember downloading it years ago and I'd completely forgotten about it. Will need to study this - albeit quickly skipping over the engine stuff at the front as I really don't want to go there (just yet) 😜

Some more recent photos. I've swapped the wheels to a set of Sport Classic IIs I had on the old car and the yellow film on the lights has been removed. Front cage is out and Recaro Pole Positions are in, as are the inertia reel seatbelts. The PPs are such nice seats. I went for the wider ABEs rather than the official motorsport spec seats as it makes it a bit more usable for anyone over 5"10. Going to get some RS spec cushions made up and getting some prices from Southbound.
Also fitted a slightly larger Momo wheel I had hanging around; same as std RS but slightly different centre section than the genuine article. Will get an RS wheel sometime in the future. Really happy with the changes - the ambiance of the cabin and a more road-orientated seats and less motorsport seating position makes the whole experience much more enjoyable. It feels like a 911 again, rather than a generic race-car. I can also get in and out of the car without clambering over the rollcage side bars and high sided motorsport seats. Bliss.

Thinking about maybe getting a Cargraphics X pipe with sports cats - what's the thinking on these; any power increases and are they lighter than the std cat?

Massive improvement with the change of seats and removal of the front cage.

Defo looks more like a street car now.

If you ever fancy a run out over the Peaks then just let me know would love to view the car in person.
