Just curious... I'm considering buying a 997.2.
Just want to see how high people have taken there's too.

Love to see pics of the odometer...

Maybe anyone under 100k is excluded? But I'll let people decide what's high or not...

I think anyone reaching 500k should make Porsche give free oil changes for life...

Another silly question... so I'd say cars go through a period of miles when it's not cool to own... and then they become cool again after a specific mileage.

What do people think...

0-40k no one bats an eyelid
40k-70k all grown up like a good quality wine
70k-90k feeling it's age (loosing cool factor)
90k-110k can't afford anything younger (not cool to own)
110k-170k - (becoming wise and slowly increasing cool factor again)
170k-210k - (I've lived a life worth living, cool again)
210k-450k - baller status
450k-800k - god father status
800k-1 mill - enlighten buddha status
1 mill plus - god status

Old photo, now on nearly 138K

I was watching a YouTube channel last weekend, it was buyers guide for a 997 GT3.
The guy said this particular 997 GT3 is worth less because it's a high mileage model, the car in question was a 2010 with 20k on it 😂😂

What about 286,000 miles?!!

This 2009 C4S was advertised on Autotrader last year, also featured on a Pistonheads forum.

Interestingly this is in effect a 'sister' car to mine, first registered at similar time and serviced, very regularly!, all at OPC Exeter throughout the time they were both racking up the miles.....clearly the previous owner of mine, (who I know well), was just not trying hard enough!! :D

Very interesting, now what about highest mileage AND on first engine (no rebuilds)?

Hope the OP doesn't mind my slight adaptation.

The OP question is specifically regarding Gen2s, and I've not seen many reports of Gen2 rebuilds....yet.... Mine is certainly running sweet, and using very little oil (consistently about 1L per 2500 miles), deffo on original engine :thumb:
