Looking good! Like the black valve covers :worship: :worship:

Cheers, I had thought to go with red but wanted the build to be more subtle. Very happy with the finish.

Looking better now, exciting times.

A little bit of colour!

A new clutch will make a huge difference to the driving experience, after years of using the heaviest clutch I have used in any car. Also more than happy with the look of the red fan.

Sounds like a plan John. The car is now done just working on the write up.

Sunday's are busy for me from now on due to rugby coaching commitments but I'll try to get out ASAP.

All done and ready for installation.

Sorry to sound negative but putting that ammount of 574 on the cases is a very bad move. It should be a very thin almost translucent layer otherwise it invites problems as the stuff goes hard and gets into the oil galeries. The picture shows excess already going in the through bolt holes

Not sure what I can add to that ras62 as not being an engine specialist I have no basis to doubt you. I will mention it to the builders next time I'm in.

Your engine work looks great Thomas, those guys seems to do a very good job.

I've just got mine back from the same place after a three week stretch for engine work, might post up some pics when I get them.

Never had that sort of financial capability to apply to my old Porsches over the years, but just GREAT that those who do have, take time and effort to share their restoration journeys. Wonderful stuff indeed. :thumb:

Looking great Thomas 🙌🏻

Hi Thomas - for some reason seemed to have missed all these updates to the thread until today. Now that's a nice engine - now all you need to do is get it out and covered in some good old Northumbrian clart. Know a few back roads around Bellingham that would be suitable filthy at the moment. Look forward to seeing it in the flesh and glad to hear Harry is getting into a proper sport for the winter as well - not like the cricket took up much time at all!

Cheers...Ian
