hey what about black, since I recently bought a black GT3 I would hate to think that its not a worthy color for a GT3 Mk1 :)

My heart says MK1, I think it will be the classic of the two GT3's in a few years.

How was it?
Very Nice.. In nice condition, was near mint.. The chap keeps his cars along time, he has had this GT3 for over 4 years.. (nice being a 2 owner car). He has tracked the car (the Spa sticker on the window gave it away !!), But he loves the car and anything its needed it has had.

Sounds great! A 4 year owner of a Mk1 GT3 is a good sign. Spa was where I first saw that particular car.

Agreed - but wrt the Blue Mk2, there are plenty of VGC Mk2s about in better colours.

I thought that.. 4 years is a long time to keep a car and only do 8,000 miles in.

I understand about the colour on the Mk2..

I will update following the PPI's.

Thanks again.

What does it really matter if we like it?!

Do YOU like it? You're the one buying it and who is going to drive it!

I like it!
Also has the advantage of being nicely understated and less likely to be noticed by undesirables and plod if slightly, ahem, pushing on!

TBH it does seem to be good value for money, and it is a mk2 after all, and if all the majour stuff as been done already clutch etc. then its even better value. I'm new to this GT3 thing, I just don't understand why dark metalic blue is not seen as a good resale color. I'm sure car colors trends change like the wind SY, red today blue tomorrow.

The main thing, that as been said already if you really like it then buy it and enjoy.

Well I like that too...

Personally, I don't give a t0ss what other people think of my car - that's not why I have a Porsche... I have it because of the way it drives and I chose the one I have because I prefer the GT3 look to the 'plain' pre-facelift 996 shape.

OK so it may affect the resale value a little (IMO I suspect not very much at all), but then it's a little cheaper now - so it's swings and roundabouts.

Disregard the colour and buy the car that you think drives best and you would be most proud to own.

Thanks Wattie, some sound advise there..

I like the Blue Dan - it's not as flash as Yellow, but not everyone wants to be flash. That colour wouldn't put me off, afterall some white stripes up the bonnett would make it get noticed.
