so i stripped the door and found that when i moved the wiring, the window dropped so i removed the metal bracket and got to the lock plug as soon as i wiggled it the window dropped. I thought the wiring may have been damaged, i undid the plug and checked the harness.
I pulled the harness out of the door to see it in the light and noticed a plug disconnected. this plug goes up to the microswitch on the handle, i plugged it and everything seems good. I assume this was loose and intermittently was working.
