997.2 interior refresh ideas

Nice work, love it!
I have order a pile of sample tartans to see what will work.

Who did the work as its exactly what i am after and would you mind sharing the approx cost (pm fine but also fine if you dont understand perfectly)?

It was done by Hukes in Hemel Hempstead and I haven't received the bill yet as it was organised by my pal who runs the bodyshop I use.

While i wait for some slow shipping of tartan, and ponder how if i can justify the 911R houndstooth, was thinking about the PDK knob and ~£1000 for the X97 option. A £1000 is a lot when a carbon ducktail is not much more, so started down the road of what other options can i find.

Recovering is very cheap vs that obviously, so alcantara and leather in various colours but no tartan here.
Carbon is cheaper (never thought of carbon as the cheap option...) but then got onto a 935 and a wooden knob (it might also reflect some reality with that car). Sitting down, I though X97 was a alot... £4,000.
Ignoring that piece of insanity, would it work in the car (cannot see why i could not get one made, its not that complicated a shape). While i get a manual shifter in wood (917 style), not sure about a PDK one. Thoughts?

Carbone do some pretty nice 917 style gearstick knobs. Not sure if they do pdk ones. Worth checking.

Thanks for the lead, cannot see on there site but i am now looking at 101 other things!

Agree, the oak/antique oak is amazing.

Also see they have peptia, black/grey fabric (well out of stock but massively cheaper then the other options i have seen) and they can do same pattern carpets too for a 997 (will then have carpet, rubber and peptia matts ).

Also they do tool rolls (was going to get a tool roll in the same tartan as interior) for not bad £.

Oh yes. Would take this over an aluminium one all day long... even the hallowed X97!

Tartan seat inserts can look brilliant, but I wouldn't rush into a fabric choice. I think you also need to take care of the overall look you're going for as in isolation they don't work so well. On something like the CSR build they're great.

The wood finished PDK shifter looks awesome but an unreal price!

I had mine sent off to GP LeatherTech (see insta) who refinished it to brand new for £50 including return postage in under a week. Freshens up the car without breaking the bank. I would love the aluminium shifter but can't justify the price especially as I don't want the handbrake.

A few parts coming along, have an X97 handbrake, new fuel cap..., lots of tartan samples, here it goes...

Still hunting a houndstooth like the 50th 991 Grey/Black.
