Which battery do I order?

If you literally want my answer, here are a couple (I have not surveyed the market for best price, mind):

If you don't have MOST (earlier cars <MY2003 without PCM2.0/Bose etc), then you need to have the radio code handy, assuming OEM headunit still fitted).

Turn key to ignition "1" and then disconnect battery (neg first) - the key bit stops the alarm from thinking the car is being attacked and hence prevents you going deaf from the siren under the bonnet.

Obviously, positive is therefore second.

Take out old batt and fit new batt (remembering to fit the acid vapour overflow pipe to one side of the batt and plugging the hole in the other)

Re-attach positive first, and therefore neg last on new batt.

So in summary (of the whole process of four connections):

Negative very first and very last.

DO NOT GET A PORSCHE BATTERY!!!!

Get a Varta or Bosch, (they are the same battery as each other, just rebranded) and the best you can get.
