Hi guys, this is my first post on here so please be gentle!

I’m on the hunt for a 997, I’m based in the south east willing to travel within reason.

Must have service history, and ideally all the major bits done including the bore score check if the older version
Manual
Must be black
Lobster claw alloys
Black or tan interior
Sports exhaust/button (Was this an option?)
Bose
Not sure on a sunroof, are they prone to leaking?
Xenon’s would be nice

This is my first Porsche, I’m very cautious as I know nothing about them! Any help and advice would be much appreciated!

Also, being such an old car can I get a warranty package?

Welcome to the forum.
Not sure what your budget is but go for a 997 gen 2 car if you can.
Sunroof can rattle/ leak as for any model.
You might get a 3rd party warranty if the car is over 15 yrs.
If it’s an OEM sports exhaust, there should be a button.
What ever you choose to buy , please do get it inspected by a specialist so you could avoid potential eye watering costs in a Gen 1 car.

Not heard of any major issues with the DFI engine.
There might be some Hartec rebuilt Gen 1 cars on the market.
