Spray or not to spray

Often case there are defects ie too much orange peel, fish eyes, pre-mature lacquer peel, poor colour matches etc.

If you do decide to repaint panels or the entire car even, be sure to go with a reputable company

You'll get all of this and more from the imposters I mentioned earlier in the thread. Try wonky panels with excess filler, paint sinking and delusional excuses and statements Chemical Ali would be proud of. In fact pretty sure it's his relatives set up in Slough. :floor: :hand:

I feel like PPF is a whole other debate in itself. Is the expense worth it?

The price for Xpel PPF on a bumper and bonnet is about a grand which is probably what you would pay to get it repainted again anyway.

There is also the risk that it pulls the paint off when you remove it.

Perhaps it depends on what sort of driving you're doing. I don't daily mine or use motorways that often so for me PPF doesn't seem worth it.

Sorry I meant being installed by a trained Xpel PPF dealer. You're looking at 1250 +VAT for the full front end.

Put PPF on my front end of my 911 after respray in 2017 and it still looks the same as the day it was painted. Well worth the cost. Imagine the stone chips after five years of use. Not to mention swirl marks. And getting those bugs off the front is so easy with PPF. (Not a lot of people think about these things).
