Sport Cat X-Pipes: Cargraphics or Fabspeed? 100 or 200 Cell?

I'm looking for some advice or experiences from people who have used these products.

What are the pros and cons? Is the fitment straightforwards, or is there a lot of customisation to make them all line up?

I'm mainly looking for reduction in weight but any butt-dyno improvements would be great as well (but I don't believe any of the claimed 10hp improvements, etc).

Also, which density of sport cat should I go for? I've seen a good few posts where people have installed 200 cell sports cats. If the 100 cell will pass emissions, why would I opt for a 200 cell, as I assume the 100 cell will be freer flowing?

BTW. I'm running stock 3.6VR engine with a remap from Wayne and Gert's RSR mufflers.

Cargraphic and Fabspeed both reputable names, however have you thought about Gert's HJS inserts. HJS are very high quality cats and i'm sure they'll be cheaper than those mentioned.

Good point about the HJS inserts. These replace the cells in the factory Cat?

My thinking was that Fabspeed or Cargraphic x-pipes would be lighter than stock and also, due to the design, maybe flow better. I also like the look of the x-pipes as well!

Some good info & feedback on the Fabspeed & Cargraphic in the following threads, as well as my favourite, Scart (had I know about them and had the budget, would've been my first choice!):

Thanks! Great info :thumb:

I'm still not sure the pros and cons of 100cell vs 200cell though :dont know:

Both 'should' pass an MOT. 100 cell has better flow. For example OE cats are usually 4-600 cell. Therefore both 100 - 200 cell are an improvement in flow. Most tend to go for 200 cell, as they are usually more readily available, less MOT risk and realistically for an N/A engine, probably not a hugely noticeable difference. The cats need to be warm / hot to pass the emissions, hence less risk with more cells.

Makes sense. Thinking back to my Subaru days when I was a yoof, we all rushed to decat our cars because it released big hp gains (and sound!) for not much money. Even though I do have plans for my engine further down the line, even then I think the differences 100 vs 200 cell for an NA car, it's just not the same as a forced induction car.

Looking at the pictures I have found on the interweb, the Fabspeeds seem to be better constructed than the Cargraphic ones. Welding looks a bit scruffy on the Cargraphic and I'm not sure about that spring tensioning mechanism for holding the cats on.

Apart from Design911, is there anyone else that imports Fabspeed stuff?

I had the Cargrahic half system on my last 993 , quad ss tailpipes too , sounded incredible but don't expect your neighbours to like you any more... no drone but seriously loud !
I'm having the Dansk system fitted now , I'll let you know how it compares if anyone's interested ?

Please report back on the Dansk system. I've never had that much luck with Dansk stuff as they always seemed very boomy inside; so it would be great to know what their latest stuff is like 👍🏻
