Hi all,
So,..my car was (stage 1 swirl removal) detailed recently, it is Basalt Black. Now I can see 5-10 small stone chip marks on the Frunk lid. I took the car to a local body shop who told me that the front wings also had to be painted at the same time so the paint can be "coz it has to be blended in properly!."
I have owned a few nice cars and can tell a resprayed panel when I see one so reluctant to go overboard..
There are minimal chips on the wings, and I don't want to have anything painted unnecessarily just in case they balls it up TBH.
My question is, does painting the Frunk lid on my black car always need the wings to be blended in aswell for the best finish, or is this bodyshop guy taking the Pi*s ? ...I feel it is the later as he then went on and quoted me £1200 for the work
Cheers
Steve
