Hi,

Are these the right wheels for this car? Anyone know anything else about it -

Cleveland is a long way to travel to look at something that isnt right!

Thanks in advance

Andrew

Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera Cabriolet Sport (1988)
96,400 miles £14,495

Purchased from Chariots of St Albans & registered on 1st August 1988.

Grand Prix White with blue power hood & interior.

Ordered with the following factory options at a total cost of approx £ 38000 -

SW - Leather faced marine blue seats & marine blue carpets.
M474 - Sports suspension.
M473 - Front & rear spoilers.
M383/7 - Sports seats with electric adjustment.
M395 - 16" Fuch forged alloy wheels.
M058 - Impact absorbing bumpers front & rear.
M330 - Blaupunkt SQR46 Radio / cassette player.
M494 - Additional booster ( amplifier )
M567 - Green tint windscreen with darker sunscreen.

This 911 is exactly as she left the factory except for a stainless steel designtek exhaust back box. Sounds superb over 4000rpm but quiet at normal cruising speeds. ( also original silencer in very good condition & supplied with the car )

I purchased her in October 2008 with just over 90000 miles, only used in summer months & now showing 96400miles.

The body & paintwork are in immaculate condition as she had some very minor rust areas dealt with & then a full re-spray by a specialist in 2007 ( I have pictures of the work carried out )

There is not a single sign of rust on her bodywork anywhere & there is no rust in any of the usual 911 problem areas ( kidney bowls etc )

Being a cabriolet, I suspect she has seen very little in the way of salted roads.
The hood is in very good condition apart from two very small tears on the drivers side but these have been repaired.
Full history with service book showing 17 stamps by either Porsche dealer or independant specialist. Most recent ( oil change -Silkolene Pro-S ) carried out in March 2011.

Original owners manual, 1988 sales brochure & a huge history file. Supplied with two keys & spare alarm & Porsche immobilisor fobs.

Supplied with Porsche certificate of authenticity & PCGB valuation of £ 16000.

Mot carried out in April 2011 & I have almost all MOT's since her first in 1991.

Bridgestone SO2's all round, fronts ( replaced last year ) have approx 7mm & rears approx 4mm tread.

She has been 100% reliable & never let me down ( spare DME relay kept in glove box just in case but never needed ;-)

Viewing essential as she looks even better than the photographs.

Reason for sale is that I fancy a change & have my eye on a Lotus Esprit ( possible exchange for S4S or V8 ) but I do not have to sell so please no silly offers, I would rather keep her.

Zoiks!

The oil level gauge is reading rather overfull! (EFA)

Whereabouts are you based?

Wheels look ok, but they have an odd paint-pattern? All white instead of part-black and part colour-coding?

Seller sounds like he knows what he is talking about - ask him if the wheels are genuine and if they've been refurbished.

ETA naaah ignore me. Mine look the same but red:
