Guys,

My 997 TT needs new pads and discs all round genuine Porsche parts seem to be about £3k+ fitting.

Is it worth getting OEM ones instead I mean who manufactures the original ones does anyone know?

I've heard that original combination by OPC is Sebro disks, Textar pads, sensors and anti vibration pads. Does anyone know if this true?

Has anyone used something like this:-

thanks

sebro the same. never been able to tell the difference between these and OEM. They also do a slotted version which will last longer. Lastly Eurocarparts often run 50% discount on brake parts on black friday etc. I've managed to buy full set front and rear for £500 inc VAT in the past!

Did mine a few weeks ago.

Sebro discs / textar pads / OEM anti squeal shims and sensors from ECP

The ant squeal shims can be a ***** to get out

Save yourself £2k and DIY

Dirty job though but not hard.

FYI Design 911 is about the most expensive place in the Universe to get parts

The Sebro discs from ECP even have a Porsche label and part number on them.

What ever you go for, I can recommend ATE ceramic brake pads. They massively cut down the brake dust on the wheels..

These were mentioned on Rennlist some months ago, and were getting good reviews. I searched for them online, but couldn't find any UK suppliers, or indeed any mention of them in the UK.
Could I ask where you bought them from ?

It was a while ago, but I'm sure it was Autodoc. Hey took ages to arrive though.

Have you got a link to those slotted discs please as I can't seem to find them on the Eurocarparts site?

Thank you,

Gary

I’m not a newbie been on here years, but haven’t posted in ages, changed emails so now new user.

Anyone got a link to the shims? Also is the sensor only on the rear?

I’m a 2008 997 TT Owner.

Be got loads of tools, but anything specialised I would need to fit?

I did ask a local porsche specialist in Marden and they wanted porsche money 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
