A very simple job ..
There are X2 filters .. a pre and a main filter ..
Pre filter and lift the cover as per image , unclip the lid fixings but don't bend too much , they will snap .
I dont fully remove the cover but lift it far enough to gain access .
Old one pulls out , new one and start to fit then use a second hand inside to guide it in place whilst pushing the top part of the filter .. it will kink if not done this way .
Main filter , remove the fixings for the foam panel under the passengers side dash , a short stubby flat blade screwdriver is needed .
Foam panel out of the way .. ie remove it .. then unclip the base panel as per images .
Filter will hit the carpet so you have to bend the filter to remove and refit .
Look at the new one and fit with the air direction arrow pointing towards the center of the car .
Don't forget to look under the Pre pollen filter for mice nests .. a common place for these along with the washer tube on the n/s/f bonnet hinge .. this can get chewed through or just break due to a poor design which has been modified .
There are NO drain bungs in this area .. the bulkhead area is not sealed and water will normally run away through the gaps .
Posted for people that diy .. first one until i take more pictures of other jobs .
