Hi Guys, My 2013 991.1 3.8 2S has been off the road for 6 weeks now waiting for a High Pressure Fuel Pump (9A1 110 315 GX). I am being told by Porsche GB and the OPC that the part is on indefinite back order and Germany cannot give a part release date. I have been told that this part has been out of stock for 6 months now and that it's a common problem.

Has anyone any experience of this ?
Thanks
Tom

Hi Tom
Unfortunate situation

Have you tried sourcing from the US or EUrope?

NOT directly related to the unfortunate HPFP supply issue, but as Peter asked the question, I suspect the answer may still be that there can be differences in parts availability from country to country.

In the late seventies when I was nailing my old 912 back together, I found one of the cylinder barrels was cracked. My OPC contacted Germany who had none but informed my OPC that Porsche had shipped all the 912 spares to the US as that was where the majority of 912`s on the planet were to be found..

As we are typing parts, I think the YouTuber who rebuilt an accident damaged GT3 in the us (Matt Armstrong..?) had to fly back to the UK to buy parts from and OPC that the US OPC`s dealerships would not supply..?

Hi Tom

Did you get your HPFP replaced yet?
My 991.1 2S developed a fault which I suspect is the the same HPFP fail. The car is at OP and under warranty still, but I'm still waiting for their diagnosis. If indeed I need meeda new pump sounds like a long wait is in order.

Hi neilporsche. I finally received the HPFP on the Thursday before Christmas. However, now I have a 'Cooling System Fault, Return to dealer' warning. I suspect this is now the Crossover Valves that I asked the Specialist to look at when the car was in. I have asked the specialist to order Crossover valves in prior to me leaving the car in with them (just in case i am correct) LOL

Thanks I'll see what the OPC says when they get round to looking at it.
And hopefully under warranty with no quibbles.
Good luck with the cooling on yours.
Neil

warranty should cover - I had issue with heater not working and had the valves replaced under warranty
