I fitted some 964rs engine mounts from type911 to my 996tt over the weekend. I've found that the exhaust tips now sit a touch lower that they did with the standard mounts fitted. Also the nut supplied with the fitting kit isnt as big/substantial as the original nut
Has anyone else whos got them fitted found this?

Fitted them to my C2, my originals where mullered and leaked out all the fluid but my exhaust tips won't sagging low, once fitted they were in exactly the same place so go figure? Big improvement to the car though I no longer feel the engine moving when on and off the throttle and its made a difference to the gear selection.

I think my originals were still ok, done around 55k miles. Slight movement when moving the threaded rod by hand.
I'm wondering whether Ive fitted the washer in the wrong order. Should the lower one go together with the nut underneath? Or with the larger cup type washer?

thanks, thats how I've fitted mine.
Did you find the nut to be a fair amount smaller than the original one?

I fitted some to my (ex) 996t last year, thinking it would bring the tips back up to where they should be, it didn't. Old ones were shagged after 77k though.

Checked several fitting guides, diagrams etc to make sure things were in the correct order, all appeared to be correct. :dont know:

I don't think there's any in the actual exhaust, just the tip clamps.
