My 1990 S2 is pulling right when fast braking. Any ideas how to diagnose the cause?

I recently had the tracking alligned so general steering is good.

I was thinking of using this as an opportunity to replace the disks and pads all round. Any recommendations of which ones to buy and where to buy them? The car is used daily, fast road with no intention of track use.

It may be the calipers needing a rebuild if anything, it's usually a piston sticking more on one side? You can get the kits quite cheaply and there are places that will also rebuild them for you. You could also get the paint refreshed at the same time if they need doing?

I rebuilt my own, they weren't sticking but I hadn't driven it properly at the time, when I did take them apart there was still a little crud in the pistons. Also if they have never been rebuilt a 30+ year old car will probably need doing as they don't get used as much as when they were newer.

New discs and pads will also help but if they are still in decent condition just a caliper refresh may be all you need?
