Porsche 911 smashes into tree and rolls onto roof near Exeter
By Exeter Express and Echo | Posted: March 26, 2015

These pictures show a Porsche sports car that smashed into a tree and rolled onto its roof on a road near Exeter in the early hours of this morning.

Police and fire crews were called to the scene on Woodbury Road, near Bond's Lane in Exeter at 11:10pm yesterday after reports of a car on its roof.

The Porsche 911 collided with a tree, ripping off the wheel and wheel arch on the near side of the sports car.

The female driver and another occupant were out when firefighters arrived and police say nobody was injured.

A police spokesman said: "As a result of the crash a large tree was uprooted and the car was left on its roof.

"Fire crews cleared a fuel spillage in the road and a recovery vehicle was called to right the car and take it away."

The road was cleared by 1.30am today.

I like the way the head light is still on ... isn't it ?

For a car which has rolled onto its roof, the body structure has taken the hit remarkably well. Glad that everyone walked away safely.
