Wind noise from windows and sunroof (992 coupe)

I've recently bought a 992 GTS and there's quite a lot of wind noise from the windows when closed and also from the sunroof, also when closed. Is that normal? It seems quite excessive to me having come from various high performance BMWs.

I've opened and closed everything in case the glass wasn't seating well on the seals. I'd welcome any firsthand insights.
Thanks Kal

noise yes, IMHO the 992 is a noisy car

I assume the seals are all good in the 1st instance

worth trying another 992 GTS =from your OPC for a noise benchmark

Agree with 911uk, definitely worth trying another GTS if possible as while they are quite noisy I’ve never noticed excessive wind noise.
Mines going in next week for to have some sound deadening applied to the doors and rear quarters to sort out an annoying rattle in the passenger door (common issue on the 992) and to improve the speaker quality.
Not sure where you’re based but if you’re local to me (NE) I’d be happy for you to try mine for a comparison

Thanks for the offer, that's kind of you. I'm based in the East Midlands, so I'll try and find a more local option. Let me know how you get on with the sound deadening. Who's doing the work for you?

compared to any 'M' car the 992 is very noisy so i would say its normal

extra cabin noise is a know issue
so much so they added sounds insulation as an optional extra !!

but it varies year to year
I found a 2021 Carrera to be noisy
but I then found a 2022 Carrera S to be much quieter

There’s a company a few miles up the road from me who specialise in audio instals which usually entails additional sound deadening to reduce resonance etc (Sounds good but I don’t really know the details!) he’s done a few 992s and knows the problem areas so I’m looking forward to letting him sort the rattles out.
He’s offered to take photos and do a bit of a journal for me so once it’s done I’ll post this and his details - Nothing like a bit of free advertising!
