Sounds like I need to come and visit your drive then Wasz, since I'm also in Lancashire!

Are Reading considered a very good OPC? :dont know:

I would hope so as flagship OPC.

They are very knowledgeable (service)
They are very generous (sales)

Service-wise, Centre of excellence for entire network, plus GB MotorSport dept (the latter being the recipient of various GT3 queries from me over the years).

Sales-wise, they gave me a 997.2 Turbo to test drive for a week

(although, so too did OPC Guildford when the 997.1 Turbo was current.)

... however, as I don't actually live in Berkshire, I use OPC Cambridge for servicing and OPC Hatfield for parts and sales.

Thanks for the heads up Cheshire 911 didnt occur to me they may give discount if I get extra work done there. Hoping to get some pics up soon. Car is going in Wednesday. Have to say every time I get in I can't stop smiling may not have the sound of a v8 but the raspiness and handling more than compensates

Wow guys thanks for the positive responses I've opted for opc service at Hatfield. I bought the car privately and would just like a full report by them. I'm based North london. It was interesting journey buying this c4s as I bought a z4 coupe which had faulty gearbox ended up getting full refund. Then almost bought a Clio v6 (yes I know il prob get stick but believe me wen I say this is not just Clio its a pocket rocket). Porsche is just a diff class!

Hi Spartan,

I am not trying to put you off going to any OPC, but try and get pics of what they 'discover' on their vehicle health check.

I am in the 'service at OPC, work done at indy' gang.

I went to Hatfield for a Major service/plugs/brake fluid change for £850, see my thread below:

Thanks hsc911 makes for interesting reading. As I have recently bought the car as mentioned before just wanted to get through opc workshop. Will update my findings once it has gone through. Of a diff note took a friend home who got rid of his 944 and bought a m135i. Even he couldnt resist smiling and saying how good porsches are!

Update re opc Hatfield

Recieved the dreaded call from the dealer. All well apart from linkage to triptronic has corroded quote in excess of 900 squids! I would like second quote to get an idea or is that a good price? Apart from poss few bushes needing replacing given full bill of health not bad as car was last serviced June 2013!

Probably about £600 at a 'specialist' and £400 at an Indy.

Ah cheers Alex tbh I was expecting a lot worst as I never had the car pre inspected before buying it!

You're brave saying stuff like that on here

No PPI :hand:

Before I am accused of anything - that was a JOKE!

I never bothered. Just asked the salesman if the car was 'right'. He said yes.

I'm amazed they didn't mention the aircon. Seems a standard thing for Hatfield to mention based on previous threads when I searched.

Guess you have a pretty mint car! :thumb:

Exactly. You can always trust a car salesman (or saleswoman) :thumb:

This was a private seller loooool he had owned car for 7 years sold it as family was expanding.

I plan to drink enough free coffee to cover cost of service
