Wheel Colour Change

Hi, I've got an artic silver 997.1 with silver standard wheels ad they need a re-furb. No scuffs I hasten to say, just laquer pealing, probably from too agressive a cleaner.
Anyhow, I fancy a change from the silver to anthracite but dont know what to do about the centre caps.
I can see some adverstised for different colours but only at crazy prices and they probably wouldnt match anyway.
I'm guessing they cant be powder coated with wheel as they are plastic and you'd lose the detail in the centre anyhow.
Just wonder what people do when they change the colour of their wheels?

Easy enough to mask off the Shield/Crest and spray with a rattle can in the same colour as the wheels. Finish off with a coat or two of clear lacquer and job done. :thumb:

Chris @ Exel Wheels can help you with that, they can be painted to match your refurb, or he can supply new if you opt for a standard OEM wheel colour :thumbs:

He can also supply a spare set of wheels whilst yours are away 8)

I did this with my wheels, fairly easy to get a good match/finish. Planning to change th colour of my wheels shortly too, have been chatting with Chris at Excel who has been really helpful :thumb:

Thanks for the suggestions.
I went to the refurb company (The Wheel Specialist in Fareham) because I thought I had a bent alloy and they wanted to see it before I brought it in.
Thankfully alloys all straight but they also said they were happy to paint centre caps and mask off badge in the middle which is good.
Cant make my mind up betwen anthracite and gun metal now!!
