DRIVE's Chris Harris recently spent the day at Brands Hatch armed with the Nissan GT-R Track Pack and Porsche's 911 Turbo S. Developing 395 kW (530 hp) and 700 Nm (516 lb/ft) of torque, the 911 hits 100 km/h in a mere 3.3 seconds, while the 405 kW (542 hp) GT-R takes just 2.8 seconds....
It's been raining in England for the past 6 weeks, so this is a damp test. The GT-R Track Pack seems a bit half-hearted and, on-paper, the 997 Turbo S is the closest rival. I went to an evening track event at Brands hatch to discover the differences/ work out if the Track pack is worth the extra cash.
