This is my immaculate 993 C2 which I bought from 911 Virgin last year.
If you are looking for one of the best 993 Carrera 2 manual gearbox varioram cars around this could be the car for you. It isn't the cheapest but the best ones never are.
It is a 1996 model with the preferred close ratio gearbox and later varioram engine and the all important working air-conditioning.
It has full service history, having been serviced 17 times, the first 7 being Porsche main dealer then later Porsche specialists.
The car's condition is amazing with over £20000 spent on it over the last 3 years getting the car to look and drive perfect.
993's are now of an age where remedial work is required which if you buy one which hasn't had it done it can get very expensive.
Below is some of what has been done to my car;

In 2014 - Speedometer refurb, new ABS sensor £552.
- New cam cover, front disc back plates, centre console bulb packs £630.

In 2013 - New windsceen fitted by 'glassman'
- Extensive re-spray by Precision Porsche removing all stone chips and
imperfections to paintwork and fitting of turbo/ 'S' front bumper. This was
done purely for cosmetic reasons, (the car has all original panels, HPI
clear).
All new light lenses front and rear and new rubbers fitted between panels.
During this work the front screen was removed and had the scuttle
repaired.
The rear chassis legs were all done, with cam covers and tin ware also
done by Precision Porsche. The above was very expensive work but well
worth it with the car now looking almost brand new. (Total cost £7321.60)

In 2012 - Original Equipment RS Short Shift Kit including shift rod and Gearshift
and related parts £715

- Full suspension refit, Bilstein suspension, M033 springs front and rear
top mounts and full geo at Centre Gravity (Total cost £2419)

- MPL Tuning Clutch slave cylinder £232 + labour, done at time of service.

- New Raid 360mm airbag steering wheel in black leather, (original wheel
kept) £500

In 2011 - 4x Genuine Hollowsoke alloy wheels and brand new Continental SP2
tyres all round by Exel Wheels (Total Cost £2080)

- Original Equipment HT Leads set, Idle Valve, Distrib Caps Etc £672

- Live rolling road remap to 296BHP with emphasis on drive ability by
Wayne Schofield (Chipwizards) £300

- RSR backboxes and heat shields by Carnewal £500

The above is not an exhaustive list of what has been done just gives you some idea of costs that can incur if you get a car which hasn't had much spent on it other than regular servicing. Even finding a car that's had regular servicing was difficult when I was looking!!

Tom at 911 virgin knows this car very well and even offered to buy it back to drive around himself!!
This was the advert when they sold it to me last year,

993 C2 Coupe 6 speed manual transmission. 285 BHP Varioram. First registered 08/05/1996 and supplied originally by Evans Halshaw, Little Aston. Finished in Polar Silver Metallic with Grey leather interior. One of the nicest 993's we will sell, maintained irrespective of cost with the best part of £20,000 spent in the last 2 years by the most fastidious of owners. Tom, our buyer, hasn't driven a better one, certainly within the past decade. The absolute benchmark by which to judge other 993's by and representing such an opportunity. There will of course be cheaper 993's but pound for pound, in the monetary sense, at least, there won't be a better one.

Where has the money been spent ?......The car has benefitted from a full suspension overhaul with new Bilstein HD shocks, M033 springs, top mounts, track rod ends and control arms. The set up of the car (full geometry and corner weighting) was carried out by Chris at Centre Gravity. The previous owner purchased genuine 18" turbo hollow spoke alloys and had them fully refurbished by Exel wheels. Cosmetic improvements, rear chassis leg refurbishment & replacement tinware all carried out by Precision Porsche in East Sussex. All lights and reflectors are brand new. The HT ignition leads, spark plugs, distributors caps / rotor arms, idle stabiliser valve, exhaust back boxes, tyres, engine mounts, cam covers, clutch slave cylinder have all been replaced and this is by no means an exhaustive list. The gentleman from whom we've acquired the car was seeking perfection and in our mind he's just about achieved it.

The car comes with a detailed and chronologically ordered service history from new. All work done has been committed to spreadsheet by the previous owner for illustrative purposes.

Unmarked 18" Turbo hollowspoke alloys with colour crested wheel centres, Climate controlled air conditioning, sunroof, rear wiper delete, RSR exhaust backboxes, high level brake light, 993 Turbo / 2S front bumper, HID headlight conversion with new headlight lenses, sports seats, genuine RS gear selector and genuine RS short shift kit and shift rod. Electric windows, electric mirrors, ABS, power steering, driver/passenger airbags and all the usual features.

To those looking for a very special manual 993 Coupe your search ends right here, be quick though, there won't be another like it.

I know this car is well known on here when it was re sprayed for the previous owner, some of the pics are familiar.

Nice car :thumb:

Surely in this market will be snapped up and in my mind a little under valued given the spec and probable condition :?: but it's only 4k miles off being worthless

I agree. Looks lovely. What's up with the seats though. They look like they're from a 964?

What he said. They are 964 seats.

It's my car and it is in lovely condition and some of you will know it. The seats were replaced by the previous owner as the standard comfort seats were very worn. These sports seats are in excellent condition and look really nice and are very comfy. The £4000 people are wanting for hardback 993 sports seats makes that change difficult to justify. Thinking of getting it over to Chatsworth on Sunday for the meet and get the car seen.

Can I ask what you are going to replace it with?

Yeah, that's really nice. All the usual suspect issues attended to recently too.

Some VERY nice photos on there. (Not the ones you took.)

Agreed, superb car with some of the best seats I've ever sat in.

Hope it sells, mine's virtually identical.

for 37k you can have this carw ith lovely black 65,000 miles hardbacks fellas :thumb: :D

That front bumper was taken off my old C4 - I can attest for it's aerodynamic qualities when flying at an altitude of 6 feet through midge-filled scottish air!

:D

Not specifically 964 seats, but pre hardback buckets.
Fitted to some 993's

Nope. With that stitching pattern they are 964 specific :thumb:

Personally, that cars £25k tops.

On what basis and what is the value in talking down another forum user's sale efforts?

I'm pretty sure it'll sell at that price, and quickly.
