And thanks to you as you steered me in that direction next, I had planned to wait for the new positive cable to arrive until I took my next step but with you mentioning the solenoid I took the plunge and got that sorted while I was waiting.
I know they tested it and said it was fine but it was only a bench test, you made me think that it is probably not 100% what it should be and it was worth at least eliminating it anyway and a quick call to collect a new one worked out which probably saved me another week of head scratching. :thumbs:
