It is with regret that I am having to put my dream car up for sale to release funds for getting onto the property ladder.
This has been more than just a car for me as I saved and researched for years to finally purchase that 'target' car, so as such this car has been looked after to high standards and is another reason why it is for sale as I simply don't use it enough. Please look at the following link here as to when I purchased the car which also gives you a little history of the car.
Bought in November 2011, this car was a great buy for me as it had a lot of the modifications carried out that were on my list. This car really is a credit to the 2 previous owners who between them spent over £25000.00 on sensible and reliable tuning/body modifications creating in my opinion the ultimate 996 turbo with performance and looks of the GT2.
One could say that this is a wise buy for somebody who would be wanting an everyday, all year, all weather 996 GT2 without the fear of 'widow maker' tag!

Suspension:
Moton Clubsports coilovers with Eibach springs, uprated top mounts and GT3 antiroll bars.
A highly regarded suspension set up that costs over £5K.
I had the pleasure of the suspension getting checked over at the Moton factory in Holland on route to a holiday in the Black Forest Germany. Front O ring seals were replaced and everything was given a once over.
This suspension is harder than standard suspension, but the Eibach springs were added recently to give a slightly softer ride for road use.
This car has never been tracked under my ownership.

996 GT2 K24 Turbos
Bell cored coolers
SFS boost hoses and F pipe.

Forge Diverter Valve

Full Miltek Exhaust system

Uprated Clutch

Car has yet to be rolling roaded but having spoke with specialists and other cars it should be good for 530-550bhp. Performance is nothing short of breathtaking and the biggest factor I will miss!
Brakes:
6 Pot Hi Spec 375mm discs front and back.
Front discs and pads just been replaced.
While under my care the car has received the following:
Oil Pressure Switch
Maf
Coilpacks
Drivebelt
Rear Top arms
Coffin Arms
Drop Links
Battery
In last 2 months – New front brake discs and pads – at a cost of just under 1K.
Last week a new middle radiator was fitted – 2 side radiators tested and are all ok.
While this was getting carried out new air con condensers on both sides was also fitted, and obviously new coolant and another bill for over 1K but well worth doing as these can be one of the main weak points of a 996 Turbo.
Car recently also had 2 new rear tyres – 305/30/19 Michellin PS2's N2 rated at 45,475K and softer Eibach springs all round.
All the above fitted by SP Autobahn except tyres.
HPI Clear with Tracker ( all though unsuscribed at moment )
Just under a years mot and 5 months tax
Massive amount of paperwork including previous Peter Morgan inspection, manuals, old mots, receipts on maintenance, old mots, tax discs, etc
I also have a spare key.
The 1st year of ownership the car was used daily through out the year. However it has been taken off the road in the last 2 winters and only used at weekends as I bought a Range Rover for daily and winter duties. Every time the car was put back on the road after its winter rest it was always sent to SP Autobahn for a checkover before commencing summer use.
Paintwork on the car for its age is very immaculate with only slight stone chips on the front. These are very hard to find though, you really have to get down and upclose to see them. There is a very slight small ding on drivers door, so slight I can't actually get a photo of it, you have to lean down and let the light hit it so that you can actually see it. This can be repaired very easily. There is also a slight tiny scratch on the drivers door too. Again I am sure this can be repaired very easily with not too much expense.
The rear bumper has recently been resprayed thanks to a friendly hit and run in a car park. This has been finished to a very high standard as the body shop look after a lot of Lamborghini's, Ferraris and Porsches.
The BBS LM alloys have always been the perfect alloy wheel for me on almost any car and with the centres in a gloss black it really contrasts well with the Seal Grey. Unfortunately a tyre fitter has slightly grazed one of the dishes while the bolts also painted black are starting to loose there paint. If I was keeping the car I would have the bolts touched up and dishes re-polished.
As previously mentioned the ride is firm with such a performance set up but once you take her on an energetic drive it is all worth it, the handling and braking on this car is fantastic and gives you so much confidence to my discovery around the awesome roads around Wales last year.
This car has been an absolute joy for me, having taking it abroad on 2 Euro trips taking in Denmark, Holland and Germany twice. It even went back to its home is Stuttgart and attended the 50th PCGB show in Cirencester. All the while never letting me down, giving amazing performance and getting the odd nod of appreciation. If driven right this car can obtain 30mpg very easily.
As you can see I have looked after the car and not been afraid to spend a great deal in keeping it in its best form, its been polished regularly with the leather having been treated at the same time. I obviously welcome any inspection, questions or requests for more photos.
As stated previously the front GT2 bumper has been fitted with carbon fibre grille. This comes with the car but the buyer can also have the option of full carbon fibre door mirrors and carbon fibre GT2 spoiler. The carbon is of a very high quality and custom made to a high finish.
I also have a genuine bolt in Porsche 996 tech-equipment rear rollcage in a chrome finish and a pair of carbon fibre GT2 replica seats in black cloth. My plan was to re-trim these in matching leather.
All of this can be purchased extra. Pictures available upon request.
Pictures:
I feel I have priced the car at a fair price considering the mileage, history and its desirable, sought after spec and modifications.
However I will accept serious offers and I may also consider a P/X of upto £15K on the following – Audi B5 RS4, BMW E46 M3 or Porsche 964/993.
Car is located in Edinburgh. I am 15 mins from Edinburgh Airport.
Please no timewasters and test drives only given on production of the correct Insurance cover.
