I actually quite like it.

The exterior makes a nice change from the usual silver/grey/black/blue and the 2 tone interior works better than full baby nappy savannah or dog knob red.

£70k is a bit ambitious though.

I've seen much better spec, there's no extended leather on inner sills, heater controls, steering column, probably a few other places if I could see more pics. I nearly bought this very car 8 years ago before I bought mine.

Yeah, definitely modded the wrong car, but on the other hand if he's got plenty of enjoyment out of it then maybe why not?
He won't get hardly any of his money back though
