Been watching the sierra Sapphire Cosworths for a while now, it was always the car I wanted as a young man (I was 21 when this car rolled off the production line) so I decided to jump into one and found a very good example in the turbo's new mate. Sub 70k miles, mildly modified running 315ish bhp lowered with escort Cosworth wheels (I have originals).
Itch scratched.

I'd be interested to hear how it drives.

I had a solo go in a demonstrator courtesy of a Ford Sales Rep' in 1989 and I recall how rapid and sure footed it was compared to the Nissan Silvia (1.8 Turbo / 120 bhp) and my bosses Montego Turbo that I was blatting around in at the time.

204 bhp was fun so 315 should be great - but not compared with your 997T.

It's, erm, interesting 😂, it reminds you of how you had to drive back in the day, you need to be constantly aware of the gear your in as if you try and take a roundabout in the wrong gear it won't forgive you unlike a lot of modern cars which are more torquey lower down.

It is exciting to drive, the delivery of power isn't as refined as the 997, it only arrived on Friday so I've not used it a great deal but when I did it reminded me of an escort rs turbo I had back in the day (albeit a bit more powerful) in that the boost comes on all of a sudden, almost without warning when your not used to it, I'm sure as I drive it more it will become more predictable.

Nice, love the white too.

Very cool and the only sensibly priced Cosworth left now, although it always was.
I owned this Magenta one back in about '99 when I was 22.

As for performance. We buy these things for nostalgia don't we, not their dynamics.

I just bought this last year. Felt like a rocket ship when I was 18. It doesn't now.
It makes me smile whenever I get it out though.

Absolutely nuts isn't it. It's all over the internet and for good reason.

I love the old Fords but there are a bazillion cars I'd walk straight past it for, at that price.
But it's a different market and no doubt a special car. As they say 'Find another".
