Hello everyone,

I'm looking to p/x my 997.1 for a Macan.

I'm struggling to choose between the Model Year 2017 GTS or the Model Year 2019/2020 Macan S given that there's no depreciation priced in on the Macan S as yet due to the strong demand.

I save around £10k by going for the older GTS but there's something about the new Macan S that is very alluring.

Would welcome everyone's thoughts.

Thank you

I had a 2018 GTS for 15 months, and loved it.

In terms of stats, the GTS had 360hp and 500nm, and 0-60 was 5.2 secs. The combined mpg is stated as 31.4, but I was lucky to get 25.

The 2019 S has got 350hp and 480nm, and 0-60 is 5.3 without Sport Chrono and 5.1 with. The combined mpg is rated as much lower, at 23.9-25.7, which is probably more realistic than what they stated for the GTS.

Given the above, I'd definitely go with the newer S. Once you factor in the warranty, Porsche Assistance etc. it's a no brainer really. The 2020 GTS is probably just round the corner too, so that will probably impact 2017 GTS residuals.
