Kool Canvas UK aka Zucarto "Car Art" Rogue Trader

Notice Re: Kool Canvas
Having looked back through every post in this thread I have realised that there is actually not a single person who has purchased from either Kool Canvas or Zucarto who has been left without their goods. I have followed each and every message and have struggled to find anyone who has been left without their goods ordered. I see refunds being received and late deliveries etc, but no one who has been left out of pocket. Only today 20th May 2020 someone has left a post saying they ordered goods that were late.. come on guys if there was any kind of foul play at hand would this customer have had the 2 pieces ordered ?? Clearly the issue has been blown out of all proportions and people have jumped on the band wagon without knowing the full details.
All I can see are lots of people offering advice on how someone should go about getting their monies returned from the company in question.
My name is John Stonehouse and I am the proprietor of Art For Petrolheads and also own the website artforpetrolheads
As a wholesale business we supply various companies around Europe who sell canvas and framed prints purchased from ourselves..Kool Canvas and Zucarto Art Studios being just two of them.
Kool Canvas are no longer trading.
Art For Petrolheads also attend various Motorshows Internationally and within the U.K. I think it is grossly unfair that individuals feel they have a right to presume that any company selling canvas or framed prints at a Motorshow are Kool Canvas.
Our main business is graphic design and print production. We are based at Unit 1 Leafield Nursery, Paynes Lane, Nazeing, Essex EN9 2EX. We are open 6 days a week Monday to Saturday 10am until 6pm.
If there is anyone who has been left out of pocket when purchasing from Kool Canvas please get in touch and we will welcome you to our factory showroom where you can collect any outstanding order. I feel this is the only way to protect my business from being tarnished with another companie's behaviour. So please send me a message if you or anyone else you know has been left out of pocket and we will be happy to rectify any issues if it is proved you were left without your goods.
Please feel free to do as I did and go back through every message on here and see that the thread is made up of individuals offering advice as well as their thoughts..
Whilst reading this, please take into account COVID-19 and the impact this has had on most business.
We went into lockdown in March and are only going back in to work on Tuesday the 26th of May 2020.

So you had nothing to do with Kool Canvas apart from supplying to them :dont know: ....

Your website needs a good edit re its terms and conditions and other policies ie you have not even bothered completing placeholders and removing reference to things like food products (which I presume you don't sell), its not GDPR compliant either (you must have used pre GDPR templates) ie you can't just dismiss not being liable for any losses due to you not keeping personal details secure and you are silent re financial data retained  .....

I must have missed the bit about delayed deliveries due to Covid lockdown...ie you are promoting 'free delivery during Covid" and 'Special Covid sales" but nothing about delays :dont know: ......

you really need to state the legal entity on there that people are contracting with.....I presume you are VAT registered and a Ltd company (I shouldn't need to ask these things they should be on your website) :dont know:.......call me fickle but I'm always suspicious when a website does not make it clear who I am legally entering a contract with before I purchase goods

For a company that has been trading for so long and is one of the fastest growing digital art etc....etc... as per your own blurb there are a few alarm bells ringing in my head at least....

Oh and I think you've missed some historical posts....ie the really bad ones about kool canvas  ......but then again its not you so its just a matter of explains more fully who you actually are :dont know:

Have you ever purchased from us?? have you ever had a poor shopping experience with us? if so please feel free to make a comment. If not then I do not really think you are justified in your comments.

To answer some of your questions:
We have a perfectly good contact form on the site where any questions can be answered.
During Covid-19 we sub contracted work out to a very good print on demand company. However Art For Petrolheads have been in Lock down.
When we supply a trade customer we do not have any further control over what happens with the product. Having wholesaled a considerable amount of prints to Kool Canvas I can only imagine they were shipping them out. After all, to take a customers money and not supply the goods is fraudulent isn't it?? I have not heard of any Court Proceedings.. so would be inclined to think that each issue has been dealt with.
To the best of my knowledge every customer of theirs received the goods or a refund and if for any reason there are any who were not satisfied I have made myself available to them. Not sure we can do any more than that.

How about going back through this thread and making contact with some of the people who have aired their grievances!! I would imagine you will find that despite receiving their goods they have not had the decency to add that section to their post.

Perhaps you would like to add something to this message, maybe along the lines of "well done for trying to sort out any issues" despite them not being our issues.

Mmmmm your not filling me with confidence  ......and for a 'wholesaler" who erm....trades to the public......you seem to know a lot about Kool Canvas's customers  .......

.....so come on....spill the beans .........what legal entity lies behind 'ArtforPetrolHeads" that you are so coy about :dont know:

That is an issue between Tim and myself that was resolved at the time.

Like the website....the 'editing" of the original blatantly removing the trailing car is shockingly lazy.....I could have done a better job on photoshop :) ....

I've no previous contact but this thread popped up.

You seriously need to deal with your website to make it both compliant and suitable for your customers.

Do you sell many items in dollars?

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping Insurance

Did I miss the name of angry owner in these threads? Shouldn't be a problem if the connection to kool canvas was as a supplier.

Another interesting twitter thread suggesting criminality and #artforpetrolheads

To be fair thats part of the same issue with the same picture copyright as already referred to.......however the tone of the reply to the poster was interesting

Still intrigued as to just exactly who artforpetrolheads are :?: .....waiting for the owner to enlighten us

But it does add to the picture of someone who comes onto the forum to take the moral high-ground. But hey, at least its a picture of their own creation :D

I'm prepared to be educated and corrected......it may have been that they purchased the picture from someone else that had committed the copyright infringement .....the bit I struggle with is that they 'specialise" in this type of art....it is a very specific sector and if you specialise in it you should know it very well ......there will presumably be both relatively few 'high end" artists and styles and the one which was copyright infringed seems to fit into that category ie you would imagine that a 'specialist" would at least challenge the copyright of the picture before buying it if not have actually realised its a pretty blatent copy of a well known artists work :?:

.....that and other things........the shoddy website ......the total lack of transparency over ownership of the business and who your re legally dealing with.......the 'tone" of the 'owner" etc...etc.... all ring alarm bells but maybe its all legit and his business is being stained by a trade customer of his.......I would at the very least be very cautious as there are enough alarm bells ringing ....and definitely pay by credit card.....an honest trader would have no issue you having that extra bit of section 75 protection behind you would they

You did. 'AngryOwner' states in his first post that his name is John Stonehouse.

Unfortunately he wont as all he is doing are various breach of the T&C's of the site. In light of the history of these vendors the evidence points to another scammer.

1st we had this post and the 1st mention of Artofpetrolsheads
http://911uk.com/viewtopic.php?p=1545821#1545821
then they magically appear, doesn't take the Red Hand Gang to work out what they who are up to.
A website with no actual contact details, who is now the 'wholesaler' of these works we have never heard of, in breach of multiple copyrights.

I wont be surprised he they are actually based in the Yorkshire triangle.
