Hello can anyone tell me what the maximum sensible tire width set up I can go on my 1996 C4 without overdoing it? the car currently has 17" cups, which I like but not love so I'm looking to max out while I look for options and I'll either sell these to ease the pain or run them in winter?

My car came factory spec with option 033 lower suspension

A full suspension refresh was performed in the recent past, including the replacement of the rubber bushes in the front wishbones and rear subframe, renewal of all key multi-link suspension arms, and new Bilstein shock absorbers with Porsche M030 factory springs. Porsche specialist Ninemeister subsequently carried out a full geometry and alignment and the car was set up to an RS spec

Thanks in advance!!

I have 10 x 18 BBS LMs on back with 265 width but I am sure some have went 285? On front I have 8.5 x 18 with 225 but guessing you could go 235. Perhaps you would be better looking at spacers to push the width out?

Love those LM's my car is silver and was thinking of silver rims too, I don't want to go too far away from what was available for the car at the time of build... been trying to research all the available options? I what's your car colour and rims? Photo?

I run a 10" rear with the standard 265 width tyre, however the offset is slightly more aggressive than the OEM wheels.
I've seen a 285 on a NB without issues although you will need to play with the offset and/or spacers to ensure no rubbing on compression.

Oooch!! Nice very nice but I'm not sure I have the ba**s for gold!! I'm a bit minimalist and subdued!! I'd go silver or the diamond black? But also soon some genuine speedliners on eBay I might go for. As a matter of interest what size are they?

Fronts – 8.5"³ x 18"³ at ET50
Rears – 10"³ x 18"³ at ET56

Michelin SP 4's at 225 x 40 front, and 265 x 35 rear

Suspension at factory M030

As Cableguy mentioned though - the offset can swing it.....I needed a light tickle with the rollers at the back with an ET56 & 265's

Good choice - just choose the right offset for you.
ET56 on a narrow body is a bit aggressive, and requires a roll.

There was a long running thread on Rennlist for a group buy on these, so there's plenty of information about offset options. Likewise, if your already speaking to Christine at Tramont, she'll advise.

She is really helpful!! Plus I'm useless at most things mechanical!!! I'm first to admit it!! She sent this... not sure if it's allowed or 'the done thing to put prices down but I'm new so that's my excuse!!

Model CUP 1 or CUP 2

- Front : 8,5 x 18 ET 52 : 719,20 € unit price

- Rear : 10 x 18 ET 58 : 775,80 € unit price

P.s. do these look the right size ? And then tyres???? What size can I get/go?? Too many questions
