Not been here for a while, car has been parked up for afew months as i am looking to relocate and need to sell this to raise money for a deposit.
So:
I was getting misfire when the car is cold, this would happen when the car is started and left running at idle when the revs drop it would misfire for near 20 seconds the CEL light would come on and go away and all is ok.
Seems to be a very common issue on the internet...with these cars?
Car itself drives fine.
I had noted that when i have near full tank of fuel the misfire would not happen.
Initially this went un-noticed, as usually you start the car and drive off..i have never really left it to idle for 5mins - 10mins on a cold start.
Moving on:
Spark Plugs and Coil Packs were changed (original)
CaM sensor was changed (as misfire was on this bank)
One o2 Sensor was also changed
this all cost me little over £2k
I have also done an oil change.
Where i am now:
When i start the car from cold, the revs drop when the choke goes off and it misfires on 3 cylinders. also car seems to be idling low..specially when cold..so if i bip the throttle revs drop to near 600 and climb up to 800 and stay there...is this right? (this is since the cam sensor change)
My car has been to afew specialists....and not really got anywere.
I am hoping its something as simple as a fuel pump or fueling issue..or maybe cam ti-mining.
Any thoughts?
I had a bore score tests done, these came back fine, near 6 months back.
I need to free up some cash, and do not have the time to fix the car..
I was maybe looking to sell as it is...
Porsche 997 c2s 55 plate (black manual) - body work is immaculate.
89k on the clock
Folder full of receipts, includes new clutch and allot more..were all the wear and tear items were renewed.
GT3 Aero Bumper, LED lights all around, Alpine head unit
Car has allot more to offer aswell..
I actually had a buyer for the car at £22k.
Realistically speaking what can i achieve for the car? is £17k - £18k pushing it?
