Help Pls - Flat Battery and cant open bonnet

There are no power points in any 997 engine bay, 996 only. It's annoying.

Someone posted this on a similar 997 battery thread the other day.

Use the release on the key.

This ^

Sill switches won't work. It says this in the manual. I do realise men don't read manuals. :thumb:

That's a 996.

997:

Thanks, Alex.

I did point out that it wasn't a 997.2 (which that thread covered).

997.2 and 997.1 differ.

Alarm has never gone off on our 997.2 when fitting a new battery.

997.1 has the points under the engine cover to attach power.

Ok. I posted what happened when my battery dies and I struggled to get into the car. It was locked with the remote when the battery was good, unlocked mechanically when battery bad and as soon as a fresh battery was attached the alarm sounded.

Just a warning, that's all.

Perhaps your alarm wasn't activated before changing your battery?

As for the power points in the engine bay - it's all getting a little confusing isn't it?
As posted earlier, no way to do it on the 997.
