Convertible Roof warning light

Hello all,

I put my hardtop on my 2005 C4S Cab this weekend - all ok. I went to the garage this morning to open the frunk, and mistakenly pressed the roof open button for a few seconds.

Started the car, and the roof warning light came on and stayed on - this is the light on the instrument panel near the seat belt light.

Any ideas what this might be? I pressed and held the soft top open button to make sure it was in the completely open position - the windows went down.

Start by taking the hard top off and seeing if the soft top roof still works as it should, or whether you've broken something?
