Bonnet Badge Replacement

I am trying to replace my bonnet badge and am having trouble removing the nuts that hold the existing one on. Easy enough to get my socket on them but they just spin round and don’t move!
Holes not big enough to get grips through otherwise pulling as I twist might have been the answer.
Anyone got any suggestions based on similar experience? Many thanks.

Just to add the nuts are plastic so they could be cross threaded, so when you leaver the badge they will come off easily

Did you manage to get them off and the badge changed?

No not yet. Concerned about doing damage to bonnet when trying to lever up badge to help nuts to ease off! Have ordered some thin plastic wedges to try to drive under badge.

Or you could try to get a thin screwdriver under the nut as you undo it. This is what I did. If you put pressure on the nut as you turn it, they will undo.

Such a small opening to deal with, you did well to get a screwdriver in there as well!
