Looking to source a set of 996.2 Bosch fuel injectors (0280156053 / 99660612200) and struggling to find any in stock anywhere online.

Usual suspects, both Porsche (D911) and general car parts (Autodoc etc), list them but are all out, with no date for them to come back in stock.

I'm sure Porsche have them in stock, but they want £300ish EACH, which is a LOT more than the Bosch price of £80ish for the exact same part.

Anyone know where I might be able to source some? Or has anyone got an unused set they want to sell on?

OPC are usually same or a bit cheaper thatn rosepassion so I'd give you local one a call.

OPC want about £225 per injector when you add the VAT.

Rosepassion seem to have them, but with VAT and delivery it gets pretty pricey too for a full set.

Spoke to D911 and they are saying they should get stock on the 31st August, but that sounds like a placeholder date from the supplier to me.

Given these were about £50 each not long ago there is clearly a supply chain issue somewhere!

Try ECP .. Porsche have them in stock .. expensive .. we had 3 this week .

Why are you changing all of them might i ask ? they rarely go wrong .

Nothing at ECP (or its sister brands). Searched high and low for these. No stock anywhere (that isn't crazy money).

I'd had my original set of 3.4 injectors cleaned/tested for my 3.7 engine rebuild, but one of them on bank 2 looks like it's leaking down and causing issues with cold starts.

The guys in the US (Jake Raby etc) recommend that all 3.4's are better off with a set of the later 3.6 injectors these days. Better fuel atomisation, better flow rate, hasn't got 20 years of wear on them etc.

At this point I think I'm going to replace all six as a belt and braces job.

You can get Ridex one's for £8 each if that's any interest?

Appreciate the heads up, but don't think I'd be comfortable going with anything other than Bosch/OEM for something as important as an injector. Never hear anything but bad things about cheap Chinese injectors.

An alternative if you are suspecting a dodgy injector is to get them tested and cleaned. I sent my 944 injectors off recently and for £10 per injector to test and clean, you get a full before and after report to say whether they are working fine or not. I just posted them out and they sent them back when done, took about 5 days door to door.

Not many places specialise in petrol injector cleaning but these guys do and did mine.

It's even worth getting your injectors working at their optimum even if you don't suspect a problem. All 4 of my 944 injectors improved in performance.
