996 Exhaust boxes (Gundo hacked)

Here are my OEM exhaust boxes removed from my 996.1 C2

They have been professionally welded in the 'gundo hack' style (emulating the post exhaust system) and repaired before I owned the car. My mechanic commented on the high quality of the welding job. The end result is a great sound, especially when you open up the throttle!

They are reasonably loud and I suspect lacking in internals as you can hear loose stuff inside them, likely bits of rust. Obviously this is only something you notice when they are not on the car. I have an mp3 of the sound (me reversing into the garage with some revving) that I can't upload here but can send to you in PM.
I have just fitted a Top Gear system to try to quieten the car down for track days.
I have the slip clamps in excellent condition as they were fitted as part of a recent engine out job.

I am located in Derby near the A50 for collection (I won't post!). I am happy to discuss meeting part way if you like and I am occasionally further north or south (e.g Bicester Scramble on the 24th April)

I can take more pics if you wish. :thumb:

Feel free to make me an offer on these, would be good to clear space in the garage!

I'd say its not worth the hassle of even fitting them :nooo:

:?:

I dunno. They are solid on the outside and pictured as straight off the car. I guess you could scrub them up and paint, if really bothered.

They sounded great when on the car, just a concern for track limits near me.
