3.4 Coil Pack options

I can see that the 3.4 OE coil packs have a shorter case (and shorter bolts).

The 3.6 OE coil packs look to be bigger (probably improved moisture resistance) with longer bolts. I think this can be used on the 3.4 engine as long as longer bolts are employed.

Q1: Do the larger case coils require the heat shield to be modified with a 3.4?
Q2: Do the larger case coils work with the 3.4 plugs or do they need to be switched for 3.6 variants?

Answers to this would be a helpful addition to the FAQs...
 
The heat shields do require a spacer to clear the larger coil packs. I don't believe any change to the plugs are required.

Yes, you're quite right. Thank you for the steer. I found something helpful on another forum and attached the spec sheet.
