Here are a very rare set of Porsche fit Speedline SL886 wheels. This design of wheels was used extensively on race and high performance cars in the late 90's early 2000's. They are the wheel fitted to 355 Challenge cars, some McLaren F1 race cars, Zonda race car and I have also seen them with RUF branding in them. They are direct fit 5x130 and have a recess built into them to take OE Porsche centre caps. I'm only aware of 3 sets of these wheels in 5 bolt Porsche fitment and these are the only ones I have seen that are direct fit for 996 narrow body. The other sets I have seen are for a 964 and neither have the centre cap recess in them. There are currently 2 sets of centre lock versions on eBay at £1900+.
I bought these around 5 years ago. At the start of 2020 I had them stripped to bare metal, vapour blasted and painted. Unfortunately when the paint was applied it appears as though the wheels may still have had moisture on the surface, this has resulted in the paint beginning to get bubbles in it. I'm offering these at a price as is, or I can get them refurbished in any colour as required.
During the refurb it was found there was a hairline crack in one of the rear wheels. I found a specialist near York and took the wheel over to be repaired, they V'd the cracks ND welded it and also welded a patch on the outside of the rim. The wheel was also checked for trueness at the same time.

The sizes and specs of the wheels are:

Fronts: 8x18 ET53 8.8kg
Rear: 11x18 ET62 10.4kg

I ran these on my car with 5mm spacers. The fronts can be run with 10-15mm, but the rears will be tyre fitment dependant.

I'm looking for £1200 for the wheels as they are, £1500 with a refurb. I can arrange for delivery at buyers cost, or can be available for collection from the North West, WN8 postcode.

I have lots of pics of these, including of the repair and at various stages of the strip and refurb undertaken last winter. I'm happy to supply these if required.

Do you have any pics of these fitted to a narrow-body 996? Did you run with 225 front and 285 rear?

Thanks!

Yes I have lots of pics fitted to a narrow body 996. I ran them on my '99 Carrera and recently on my 2000 GT3 as well.

I ran these with 235 & 295 GT3 sized tyres, but they could be run with 225 & 285's.
