Oil Tank Leaking

Hi All,

Just been to see how my restorations are going and was very surprised to see that my leaking oil tank didn't have a single repairable hole but instead 100's of tiny perforations all over it. Just seen how much a new one is and fell off my chair!! Has anyone else had this problem? The tank seam is all intact and the structure is sound. I'm thinking perhaps it could be plastic coated? Any advice would be gratefully received.

Cheers

Mark

Unfortunately my SC also had a leaking oil tank-
when the garage mentioned how much they are
I was suddenly overcome with a wave of depression.....
I ended up just pulling the trigger anyway and had a new one fitted.
If memory serves me correctly I think it was £700+

Mark,

I would stick a post up on www.impactbumpers.com one of the boys might have one surplus to requirements.

Pics of my tank. Close ups say it all!
