Cruise Control Dash Light Missing?

Hi all, following the excellent advice on my previous Cruise Control retro fit thread I fitted it tonight and discovered something strange........

I don't have a cruise control light in the dash!

My cluster doesn't have the symbol in the speedo even though the manual says it should be there, instead it is on the far right of the warning lights across the bottom of the cluster (next to the roll over system light) but does not light up when I turn the key (the rest of the lights come on for test as they should.)

I opened the cluster to check the bulb but discovered that I have LED warning lights and there isn't one under the cruise control symbol!!!!! (just the solder pads on the circuit board)

Does this mean I wont be able to get cruise working (haven't had it coded yet but worried it has been a waste of time & money!)

again, help or advice really appreciated!

The cruise light won't light up until the software is modified AND the cruise control is actually switched on (with the button on the end of the stalk). Mine is also at the far right of the warning light strip.
