Call AIB, a Porsche Specialist Insurer, they can arrange agreed values and deal with all of the top insurers, ask to speak to Darren

I'm convinced Insurance companies consult Mystic Meg before offering a price. It doesn't seem to be based on anything these days?

I'd recommend using gocompare and other sites that do the same, they've almost always worked well for me.

I'm 59 years old, maximum no claims, no points and my 997s is parked on a drive in a reasonably low crime postcode.
My experience for what it's worth is that the so called specialists are always considerably more expensive than the well known major insurers. I have had so many daft prices quoted by the specialist brokers I don't even try them anymore.
I should add in fairness that I don't track the car, it's a daily driver in the South East and I do about 9000 miles a year.
I pay around £210 to £240 for a NA 997S and am currently with Privilege. The only thing to be cautious of is that whoever you go with, make sure that you can specify the repairer, some of the Big Insures like Swift do not allow this without extra cost.

The best price I got was from Porsche Insurance and interestingly, the Turbo was cheaper to insure than the 997 C2S I had previously

But then I am :eek:ld:

Yes agreed, try Porsche Insurance... I pay £500 ish..

Aviva worked for me
£400 ish for my ex turbo.
Porsche Insurance in underwritten by Aviva

30y/o Turbo S, 2 years no claims, £462 from privilege

Porsche Insurance not the cheapest premium but price includes two track days (excess 10% of car value!) which tipped the balance for me.
