I wonder can anybody give some addvise. I live in Leeds and have come to re-insure my 993 Turbo. My car has been insured for £65k for the last two years but looking on Piston Heads and classic car sites i would estimate the replacement Value would be closer to £99k. When i spoke to my insurer they have asked for 6 Photos and a valuation. The photos will not be a problem but how do i go about getting it valued.. Do not really want to get ripped by porsche.. Car is in very good condition X50 midnight B with black sports seats and has 45k on clock with service history. I know it does not count for much but also has gt2 body and many tuneing upgrades. Does anybody know a valuer, I initially thought strass but does anyone have any other ideas.. Thanks Tim

ask you local garage to do a valuation

then get it agreed value insured with

I have used PCGB for my last two valuations. Others have complained that their turn around is slow and that they don't always keep up to date with accurate valuations but I have found them reasonably quick. I supplied them with good photos of my C4S and a few additional ones above what they require and a detailed description of all the work that had been done and they gave a fair valuation in my opinion. It was accepted by my insurers no problem. Having said that it was nearly a year ago so needs doing again the rate they are going up in value.

Cue Zingari.

I think the turn-around is much faster now. I submitted in late July and they replied within 5 weeks.

We're in the 'specialist territory' here where I'll need to do some number crunching first :what:

:dont know: Sorry i'm not the whitest bride out there  Always wanted Gt2 but out of my price range. Body was bastardized by porsche, engine and suspension by John watson. So yes messed about with, but by a doctor not a Vet  TIM

Porsche Club Great Britain. They do valuations for free if you are a member.
