Did the 996 turbo come with auto folding mirrors as standard?

I thought they did... but i can't find a way to do it - and want to be able to fold my mirrors in, but when i have tried manually it seems awful stiff and i don't want to snap them!

Pretty confident the answer is no.
My 986 box they didn't fold at all and on my 997 you can fold in by hand - there is a little clip you can activists which holds the mirror in the folded position. No auto fold methinks.

Mine do not auto fold

I thought they were folding with memory seats or are 996's a bit old for this tech?

From memory it said hold the lock key down and the mirrors will fold - in the manual.

Ive tried that loads and ZERO.

Used to do that fine in my 03 BMW clubsport!

They don't fold automatically.

The memory seat facility allows the nearside mirror glass to move within the casing - i.e It looks down when you select reverse gear.
