Bromley servicing

Christian, there are three local options I am aware of, 1st you have 911 Box in Keston they farm the work out to another Porsche specialist so you may pay a premium and turn around time can be longer, there is JJ's(020) 8658 8021 who I have not used but appears to be a work from home set up near Normans Park (I believe he is very good) and Weston Porsche in Penge (Warren 0790 491 1944) I have used these for servicing and repair, very reasonable and good service, don't go by first impressions re location and set up he has been going for years and seems to know his stuff.

Elite Porsche Belvedere

I made the mistake of taking it here in the end..They were looking for a fault with the engine management light and had a few other things to sort out.I said that I would need the car for a couple of days then would bring it back to get the work done.I told them this 4 days ago and when I turned up today to pick it up I was informed that the drivers door wasn't locking properly (it was working fine before) I got the car home and found that I couldn't lock or alarm the vehicle and that the interior lights wouldn't turn off.I had to disconnect the battery in the end! I called them and pointed out to them that I couldn't believe that they had left it to the day I was picking up the vehicle to tell me I couldn't lock it and that they were quite happy to release a high value vehicle that i had no way of securing instead of fixing this fault prior to my arrival. Not Impressed!! I think I will try the guy in penne but I have been past his place and it looks scary or take it back to RGA Porsche in Vauxhall

Sorry - where did u take the car to be looked at?

aha!!! was niftily hidden in the subject of the post!!

I never look there... maybe i need to start!

Christian, just had two back boxes (Danske) and a low temp thermostat fitted by Warren yesterday all completed on schedule for £150 all in which I believe is good value, have to agree the place looks scary, wait until you see inside you could probably build 10 996's out of the parts lying around, seems to be a Porsche grave yard on the corner as well.

After stumbling across this post, i felt it only right to register and reply.

This 996 Turbo was brought to us for an inspection and the engine management light was illuminated. There was a few faults found with the overall condition of the vehicle.

When i phoned Christian to go through what we had found, all work was declined. I think the idea was the engine management fault took priority (understandable) but the fault wasn't a straight forward job, ideally we would of liked to keep the car for a few days rather than having a quick look in-between jobs. Christian later informed us he needed to car back for the weekend but we could still keep it to see if we got chance over the next few days.

Christians car was kept inside every night, there was no need for the car to be locked, the alarm did sound when trying to lock the car to indicate a fault but as all other work was declined we took no further action, we just added it to the list of advisories.

When collecting the car i went through in detail what we had found, although we had discussed everything over the phone. His reply was 'oh yes the horn does beep when locking every now and then'.

Long story short, after being accused of braking his drivers door lock and threatening to ruin our companies reputation along with other silly threats. We collected the car from him with our recovery truck and replaced the drivers side door lock mechanism/actuator with no labour charge.

We actually replace these regularly on all 986/996 models, Porsche keep them in stock as they are in such high demand.

We only charged for the part. Just to try and keep Christian happy.

We are a small set up but have been going for over 20 Years now, everyone we speak to loves the personal touch and care we take with their cars.
