British Airways has apologised after putting up an advert encouraging commuters to 'Discover the Indian Ocean', just days after the ill-fated flight MH370 is likely to have crashed there killing all 239 people on board.
The ad, which had a watery background and featured fish swimming, was spotted on the escalators in London's Euston Station.
It has since been spread across social media with one Twitter user branding it 'Not the best time for British Airways to run this ad.' While another added: 'British Airways should probably pull this #fail.'
Shortly afterwards the airline apologised on its Twitter page saying: "Our Indian Ocean advert contained pre-scheduled content that we recognise is inapproproate at this time. We're sorry for any offence caused.'
