removed the starter last weekend and I dropped it off at heaton auto electrics for testing and repair. They fitted a new selanoid for a grand total of £15! Refitted the starter today with my brothers help and she started instantly!
Woohoo! Nice fix Ian, it's a lot cheaper than mine. In fact the Concorde programme was cheaper than mine.
Cheers,

Quick up date, after putting the engine and box back in I haven't use the car as I needed to fit the under trays and rear bumper. I've managed to get them fitted now, just need to stick the plate on after the bumpers been machine polished.
Anyway I've got a nice easy puzzle for you guys to fix! I've got no blowers in the cabin? I thought I must have put the resistor wires on the wrong way round so I changed them and I had blowers till I moved the knob then they went off again! The fuse in the front is ok?
This happend befor after an Indy did a service, i took the car back to him and he said he'd forgotten to connect something and he fixed it easy but I can't remember what he did?
What am I not seeing?? _________________ Horizon blue, 964 carrera 2 tip, lowered on koni's, k&n, de-cat, cup pipe, leather trim and 18" 3 piece split rims.

Looking back over your thread, congrats on the commitment, I noted when you painted the engine cover you removed the grille
Could I ask how you removed it from the engine cover?
Was it difficult? How did you re-attach?
Thanks

Hi, I've done it twice now but can't remember! I do remember you need to remove the little circular clips that hold the grill in place, then there's rubber spacers the grill sits on. Both of these are easy to drop into the engine bay so you need to be careful. Other than that I think it's just the hinge bolts and detach and unclip the motor cable and electrics. A bit fiddly but not to bad _________________ Horizon blue, 964 carrera 2 tip, lowered on koni's, k&n, de-cat, cup pipe, leather trim and 18" 3 piece split rims.

I was home alone for a bit on Sunday so I gave her a good clean with auto glym shampoo and conditioner, then a coat of dodo juice light fantastic wax. Polished the alloy rims with maguires metal polish and waxed and sealed the wheels.
Very happy with the results _________________ Horizon blue, 964 carrera 2 tip, lowered on koni's, k&n, de-cat, cup pipe, leather trim and 18" 3 piece split rims.

Hi chief, how’s the projects going? It’s supprisingly easy to fit or remove the boot lid, 4 little bolts a plug and an earth strap and she’s back to standard!!
Keith, same wheels mate, just changed the centre colour! I’ve had a bit of negative feed back on face book but if you call down you’ll see how much they suit the car, I’m well happy with the look just need to sort the leaking rear koni 😩😩
Still trying to figure out how to post pics straight from my iPhone, that’s why the pictures at the bottom of the post lol! _________________ Horizon blue, 964 carrera 2 tip, lowered on koni's, k&n, de-cat, cup pipe, leather trim and 18" 3 piece split rims.
